Step 1: Confirm your eligibility to vote

  • A Canadian citizen;
  • At least 18 years of age;
  • A Markham resident, property owner or tenant (or the spouse of one); and,
  • Registered to vote.

Step 2: Register to vote

Check, update or add your information to the Municipal Voters’ List (even if you voted in a recent election)

Step 3: Watch for your Voter Information Letter in the mail this fall

If you don’t receive your Voter Information Letter by October 12, re-check that you’re on the Municipal Voters’ List

Choose the voting option that works best for you:

  • Paper ballot
  • In-person touchscreen
