On this page, you will find a list of important dates related to the 2022 Markham Municipal Election:

• May 2: First day to register as a candidate or third party advertiser
• May 2 to January 3, 2023: Campaign period
• August 19, 2022 at 2 PM: Last day to register as a candidate, or withdraw if you have already registered
• August 22: Certification of candidate nominations & declaration of acclamations
• September 26 to October 24: Election sign permitted posting period
• October 14 to 24: Voting Days
• October 20, 21 & 22: Early Voting Days with paper ballots
• October 21 at 5 PM: Last day to register as a third party advertiser
• October 24: Final Voting Day
• October 26: Certified election results posted
• November 15: Start of new Council and School Board term
• March 31, 2023 at 2 PM: Financial statements due
• April 1 to June 29, 2023: Campaign finance compliance audit period
• October 2023 to April 2024: Candidate contribution rebates issued
